This incision-based surgery has virtually no chance of the double eyelid coming undone and allows the crease line to be adjusted in various ways to achieve the desired eye shape. For conditions difficult to address with non-incision methods, such as overlapping folds, severe ptosis, or asymmetric eye-opening strength, incision allows for more proactive correction. It is also possible for thick eyelids with excess fat where natural adhesion surgery is not feasible.
